The short version

  • This website is run by Find-Care. It is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 level AA.
  • Two known issues do not meet that standard: a contrast failure on one call to action, and links in the breadcrumb trail that are distinguished by colour alone.
  • The site was tested on 11 August 2026 using Lighthouse in Chrome, by Find-Care, on the pages families use.
  • The site has not been audited by a third party and has not been tested by disabled people using their own assistive technology.
  • Report an accessibility problem to support@find-care.co.uk.

1. Using this website#

1.1 This website is run by Find-Care. It is designed to be used by as many people as possible.

1.2 On this website you should be able to:

  • navigate the whole site using a keyboard;
  • reach the main content of any page directly, using a landmark;
  • resize text without content being cut off or overlapping;
  • use the site on a small screen without scrolling sideways;
  • navigate a long page by heading, and link directly to any section of it;
  • hear image content described by a screen reader.

1.3 AbilityNet publishes advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

2. Compliance status#

2.1 This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 level AA, because of the non-compliances listed in section 3.

2.2 Find-Care is a private company. The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to this site. This statement is published voluntarily and follows the format of the model statement used under those Regulations.

2.3 We do not claim full compliance with WCAG 2.2 level AA. The testing described in section 4 was automated, and most success criteria at that level cannot be assessed by automated testing alone.

3. Non-accessible content#

3.1 The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

3.2 The “Match me” button on the fixed bar shown at the bottom of content pages on small screens has a contrast ratio of 3.0:1. This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum), which requires 4.5:1 for text of this size. Correcting it requires a change to a brand colour, which is under review. No date has been set.

3.3 Links in the breadcrumb trail are distinguished from surrounding text by colour alone. This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.1 Use of Colour. Links within body text were corrected on 11 August 2026. The same correction has not yet been applied to the breadcrumb.

Content not tested

3.4 The provider portal and internal administrative screens have not been tested. They are not available to the public.

3.5 Content on external sites linked from here, including Care Quality Commission inspection reports, is outside our control and has not been assessed.

3.6 Photographs and descriptive text supplied by providers are not assessed individually before publication.

4. Preparation of this statement#

4.1 This statement was prepared on 11 August 2026.

4.2 The website was last tested on 11 August 2026. Testing was carried out by Find-Care using Google Lighthouse in Chrome, in desktop and mobile viewports, against a sample of the pages used by families.

4.3 The tested pages returned an accessibility score of 92 out of 100, with 52 checks passing and 2 failing. The two failures are those in 3.2 and 3.3.

4.4 Three issues found in that testing were corrected on the same date: no page carried a main landmark; links in body text were distinguished by colour alone; and two blocks of footer text had contrast ratios of 4.50:1 and 2.91:1 against the background.

4.5 The site has not been audited by a third party, and has not been tested by disabled people using their own assistive technology.

5. Feedback and contact#

5.1 To report an accessibility problem, or to request information from this site in a different format, email support@find-care.co.uk.

5.2 Describe what you were trying to do and what prevented you. You do not need to identify the technical cause, name the standard, or use any particular software.

5.3 Where a fix will take time, tell us what information you needed and we will supply it another way.

6. Enforcement#

6.1 Service providers have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.

6.2 If you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint about accessibility, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which advises on rights under the Equality Act 2010.
