People looking for care and their families choose Horizons Homecare because we offer a standard of care other providers can struggle to deliver. Our onboarding is free, we introduce you to your very own care team (based on your preferences) before any care starts. You receive the same carers at each of your visits and they arrive on time and stay for the duration of the visit.
We also ensure you have your own dedicated Care Coordinator that helps and supports the management of your care package the whole way through because needs can change.

A message from the manager
Hello and thankyou for taking the time to consider Horizons Homecare. I have been the manager here for over a year now and i can honestly say that we take the standard of our care very seriously. Each one of our clients is looked after like they are a member of our own family, and they always see the same carers that arrive on time and stay for the full duration. We tailor your care so it suits you, you choose your carers based on your own preferences and we also understand that care needs can change at a moments notice, that's why we will always adapt to be as responsive as possible for you.

Common questions
What's the shortest visit you offer?
Visits start from 30 minutes for a medication prompt or a check-in, and go up to full live-in support. We build the schedule around what you actually need. If you need 45 minute visits, 60 minutes or more we can also cater for that.
Are there any extra charges?
No. The hourly rate is the rate you pay. There are no travel charges, no peak-time surcharges and no sign-up cost.
How quickly can care start?
For most postcodes we cover we can begin within a few days, and often within a week for a hospital discharge.
Will my relative see the same carers?
Yes. Every client has a small, named team, so the same familiar faces arrive each visit, including at weekends.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover all 'FY' postcodes which includes Blackpool, the Fylde Coast and Wyre villages. If you are just outside them, get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you reliably.
Are your carers trained to give medication?
Yes. Every carer completes accredited medication training and is competency-checked before administering anything, and each dose is recorded. Any specialist medications are trained seperately and specificly for you.
What happens if a carer is off sick?
We cover the visit with another carer from your team and tell you who is coming. Visits are never simply cancelled.
Can you support a hospital discharge?
Yes. We can usually start within a few days of discharge and can work alongside the hospital and discharge team on what is needed at home.
Do you offer live-in or overnight care?
Yes, both. Live-in care is priced weekly, and overnight care can be a sleeping night or a waking night depending on the support needed.
Can we change or cancel visits?
Yes. Tell us as early as you can and we will adjust the schedule. Our cancellation terms are set out plainly in your care agreement.
